LHAKPA TREKKING - TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Including Cancellation Policy)

We kindly request all clients to read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before booking a trip with Lhakpa Trekking. These conditions are important to ensure transparency, safety, and a smooth travel experience. By confirming a booking, you agree to the following terms:

1. Booking Confirmation & Payment

• A booking will be confirmed once we receive a completed booking form along with the required deposit. The remaining balance must be settled prior to the start of the trip, as specified in your booking invoice.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer, through our online payment gateway, or in cash upon arrival (where agreed in advance).

2.  Payment Policy

• Deposit: 30% of total trip cost to confirm your booking
• Balance: 70% due before or upon arrival in Nepal

• Accurate Information: Clients must provide correct personal details, including passport copies, travel insurance information, and an emergency contact.
• Travel Documents: Clients are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, and all required permits.
• Health Disclosure: Clients must inform Lhakpa Trekking of any pre-existing medical conditions before booking.

5. Travel Insurance

• All participants are required to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking, emergency evacuation, accidents, illness, and trip cancellations.
• Proof of valid insurance must be provided before the trip begins.

6. Risk Acknowledgement

• Trekking and mountaineering involve inherent risks.
• Clients accept these risks and agree that Lhakpa Trekking will not be held responsible for events beyond its control, such as weather, political unrest, or natural disasters.

7. Changes & Amendments

• Lhakpa Trekking reserves the right to modify itineraries for safety or operational reasons.
• Additional costs due to changes requested by the client are the client’s responsibility.

8. Cancellation Policy

• More than 60 days before departure: full refund minus a €100 administrative fee.
• Between 30 and 59 days before departure: 50% refund of the total trip cost.
• Less than 30 days before departure: No refund.
• If the trip is cancelled by us due to safety concerns, political unrest, or adverse weather conditions, you will receive a full credit toward a future trip with us.

9. Liability & Responsibility

• Lhakpa Trekking will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, flight delays, political unrest, or personal negligence.
• Clients are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of Nepal.

11. To confirm your booking, please send us these documents:

1. Passport Scan (Valid for at least 6 months after trip end)
2. Recent Passport-Size Photo (digital)
3. Bank Transfer Receipt (Deposit or full payment)
4. International Flight Ticket Copy (if possible)
5. Emergency Contact Details
