Namaste Adventure Enthusiast, I am Mingmar Sarkee Sherpa.
I have spent decades guiding trekkers through Nepal’s rugged landscapes, gaining firsthand experience in the challenges and rewards of Himalayan adventure. With this experience, I founded Lhakpa Trekking - not just as another trekking company, but as a platform to offer exceptional trekking experiences rooted in authenticity, environmental responsibility, and inclusivity.
At Lhakpa Trekking, we believe that trekking is more than reaching a destination - it is about respecting nature, understanding local cultures, and ensuring that tourism benefits the communities it touches. Another core value of our company is gender equality in adventure tourism. The company itself is named after my wife, Lhakpa Sherpa, a professional trekking guide and co-founder. We actively promote women’s participation in trekking, providing leadership opportunities and training programs for female guides.
